Noah


The Reason Noah was Naked

It has been wrongfully taught or assumed that some sort of homosexual act was committed on Noah by his son Ham. However, because of the sketchiness of the Scripture, it is understandable that those assumptions were made.

The Scriptures concerning Noah’s nakedness in the Holy Bible reads as follows:

And he (NOAH) drank of the wine, and was drunken and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had done unto him. Genesis 9:21-24

Of course based on the previous Scripture, it is obvious how the scenario could be misconstrued and where the homosexuality aspect may have come in. But the fact is Noah wore the garments of skin that Yahweh made for Adam and Eve under his clothing at all times. When he was passed out drunk, Ham stole those garments because he knew they were powerful. Once Ham removed the garments, Noah was left naked. So when the Scripture reads, “And Noah knew what his younger son had done unto him,” it means that....
