Ham's Curse

Who was cursed by Ham?

At the time that Noah divided the earth, he made his sons take an oath that they would all abide by their inheritance and not seize the land of their brother, or a curse would befall them. After the death of Noah, Canaan (one of Ham's sons) seized part of Shem's inheritance in the land of Palestine, from Lebanon to Egypt. Ham demanded that his son Canaan not violate the oath of Noah. When Canaan disregarded his father’s request, Ham cursed his son Canaan.

This Scripture confirms that the sons of Noah took an oath:

And thus the sons of Noah divided unto their sons in the presence of Noah their father, and he bound them all by an oath imprecating a curse on everyone that sought to seize the portion which had not fallen (to him) by his lot. Jubilees 9:14

These Scriptures confirm that Canaan, Ham’s son, broke the oath and seized Shem’s land:

And the sons of CANAAN were seven mighty men, and he took seven mighty cities from the land of SHEM, and set his sons over them; and likewise he also made his own portion double. And in later days Yahweh took vengeance upon the sons of CANAAN and made the sons of SHEM to inherit their country. These are the nations whom they inherited; the CANAANITES, the PERIZZITES, the HIVITES, the HITTITES, the AMORITES, the JEBUSITES, and the GIRGASITES; these are they whom CANAAN seized by force from the seed of SHEM. For it was not right for him to invade SHEM'S kingdom, and to falsify the oath. And because of this they ceased to be and their memorial perished through transgressing Yahweh's command, and worshiping idols, and bowing down to those who were not gods. Kebra Nagast 12

These Scriptures confirm that Ham cursed his son Canaan:

Ham said, “Dwell not in the dwelling of Shem for to Shem and to his sons did it come by their lot. Cursed art thou, and cursed shalt thou be beyond all the sons of Noah by the curse by which we bound ourselves by an...

The Scripture of Genesis 9:25 states: And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. The "He" being referred to in that scripture is Ham and Not Noah for Noah cursed no one.
